Introduction

This error means your message was rejected because its content scored high enough on our spam evaluation to be classified as spam. The block applies to the specific message, not your account or sending IP.

Example error message

[email protected]
   host relay.jetsmtp.net [103.173.0.0]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
   550 [SPAM] Blocked. See https://reports.jetsmtp.net/?id=000000000000000000&auth=smtpuser
The report URL in the error includes the specific reasons your message was scored as spam. Open it for the per-message breakdown.

What does this mean?

The message content (subject line, body, headers, links, formatting) hit enough spam signals during evaluation to be rejected. Common contributors:
  • Promotional or sales-heavy language
  • Excessive capitalisation, punctuation, or emoji in the subject or body
  • Suspicious or shortened links, or links to domains with poor reputation
  • HTML structure that resembles known spam templates
  • Mismatched or misleading headers (e.g. From name doesn’t match the sending domain)
  • Missing or poorly formed unsubscribe mechanism on bulk mail

How to fix this error

  1. Open the report URL from the bounce. It lists the rules and signals your message tripped.
  2. Edit the offending content based on what the report flagged.
  3. Resend the message once the issues are addressed.

Reducing future spam blocks

  • Write subject lines and copy the way you’d write any normal business email — clear, specific, no marketing shouting.
  • Make sure every link in the message points to a domain you control or trust.
  • Include a working List-Unsubscribe header on bulk or marketing mail.
  • Keep your From name and address consistent and recognisable.
  • Test new templates by sending to your own mailboxes at a few major providers before rolling them out.

Getting help

If you believe a legitimate message was blocked incorrectly, open the report URL from the bounce and click Report message. That sends the case straight to our team with all the context attached, no email back-and-forth needed.
